I’m truly sorry but because of time and other commitments, it’s really not possible now for me to keep these pages updated with new information. However, I will leave them online as a continuing reference resource. If anyone has particular questions on Dame Clara Butt and her recordings, please let me know. WELCOME to the only place on the web (or anywhere else, come to that) where all Dame Clara Butt’s discographical details are brought together.
If you want to know how and why I first became interested in Clara Butt, click here. However, if you’re anxious to cut to the chase and get straight into the Discography, a click on Released Recordings or Unreleased Recordings will take you where you want to go.

The discographical tables are fair-sized files (between 180K and 350K). They may take a few moments to download. Feel free to save the pages to your hard drive (in Internet Explorer you do this by clicking “File>Save As”), then use your browser’s “Find” facility to search for matrix numbers, dates, or anything else that takes your fancy.
If you’d like to be told when the tables change, or if you spot errors or omissions (for example, can you help with any outstanding “release” labels for the “Gramophone Company” recordings?), please e-mail me. I’ve tried to be thorough; everything’s been cross-checked over and over again, but “to err is human…”
