“The Magic Of Public Relations”, my first album of the new decade and my eleventh for Cherry Red Records, showcases fifteen brand new songs reflecting on the crazy, sometimes troubled times in which we live.

Accompanied as always by my good ol’ 1967 Harmony 12-string guitar, here we’re travelling through the worlds of politics, celebrity entitlement, poetry reading and a dozen other exotic stop-offs.

Back in 2019, an interviewer asked me where I gets my ideas. The answer was straightforward. “Day in, day out, for fifty years I’ve been watching the world throw up. All I’ve ever done is stand around with a mop and bucket!”

“The Magic Of Public Relations” is available as we speak from download sites around the world (including of course iTunes and the Amazons). It’s also streaming on Spotify, Deezer, YouTube and all your other favourite streaming services.

I hope you enjoy it!

Cherry Red’s official video to promote the set is the intriguingly-titled “Sex, Drugs & Ballroom Dancing”.

I’m reminded of the wise words of Will Rogers, the American actor and social commentator: “Make crime pay! Become a lawyer!”

This is what reviewers said of Beau’s 2019 collection, “Damascus Road”

“In our era of fake news and social media manipulation it’s reassuring to know that are still songwriters that can cut through with truth. Beau … remains as sharp a commentator on contemporary society’s mores as it’s possible to be.” Harmonic Distortion (UK)

“…another playful but biting collection … that again reinforces his status as a British answer to Phil Ochs.” Mike Davies – folking.com (UK)

“Like writer-thinkers such as Christopher Hitchens, Noam Chomsky and John Pilger on YouTube, Beau can also show the world around us for what it really is…” Brian R. Banks – Glide Magazine (USA)
