BASS TYPE 1

“Type 1” is my designation for this rather elegant bass.
This is because there are others - also without names or model numbers - which hail from the Supersound stable.

The instrument is made from Pyrana Pine, and has a scale length of 30¼ inches. By today's standards, this would fall more into the “baritone guitar” category rather than bass. It is powered by one Supersound BPU/01 bass pickup.

The guitar probably dates from early 1959.
