(Click here for full lyrics and the stories behind the songs)

“Palace Of Light” is my nineteenth release through Cherry Red Records!

It's an album of fifteen brand new songs for 2025, inspired by – and referencing – a whole bunch of themes and attitudes that pervade life in the 2020s. Sometimes a bit sardonic, other times a little more serious, “Palace Of Light” has been a real pleasure to pull together; and as always it has given my wonderful 1968 Harmony 12-string guitar the opportunity to run through its paces!

As with all my Cherry Red releases, “Palace Of Light” is out there for streaming and for purchase from download sites around the world (including of course iTunes and the Amazons).

As a taster, Cherry Red have issued the opening track, “I Plagiarise Beethoven”, as the official video to complement the new release. And here it is...

Enjoy!

*************

This is what reviewers said of Beau’s previous collections...

Of “The Last Confessions Of A Saboteur” (2024) – “The only songwriter I feel writes like a poet is Paul Simon, until I read the lyrics for Beau’s new CD. They are as poetry …” John Eliot (UK)

Of “Kingdom Of The Blind” (2023) – “In the kingdom of the blind, Beau is the one-eyed man…” Mike Davies – folking.com (UK)

Of “Al Killem’s Final Show” (2022) – “Gore Vidal said … the great problem with this country is that people now only have opinions not thoughts … Beau is a humble, secret antidote…” Brian R. Banks – MyRockNews (Netherlands)

Of “The Methadone Of Time” (2021) – “…give this guy a bull horn and drop him in the city square to keep the folks entertained (and get ’em all riled up, too). Mutiny never sounded so good.” Dagger Zine (USA)
